It's Art We Can Hold!

I wanted to give the children more opportunities to develop their pincer grasp, so I put out trays of baking soda and cups of colored vinegar. I expected there to be a lot of fizzing and fun.  I was surprised when the result was mostly pretty little colored blobs!

 And puddles...

Some tunnels...

Then one child realized he could pick up the little colored blobs it made. 

"It's art we can hold!" 

We had a whole bag of baking soda and colorful blobs left over!
